Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to join our team. As a Behavior Interventionist, you will play a critical role in implementing behavioral health treatments for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide 1:1 care directly with clients during scheduled sessions under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement established behavioral treatment plans based on the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) across skill levels, moderate to severe problem behaviors, and service delivery settings.
  • Ensure that 100% of the scheduled direct services are provided without any scheduling interruptions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collect data related to client's progress during treatment sessions.
  • Incorporate activities and games that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for the client in alignment with the treatment plan.
  • Promote client engagement to build their strengths in a natural and enjoyable manner.
  • Consult with case supervisor on treatment plans, client updates, and intervention strategies.
  • Receive and utilize ongoing training, guidance, and support.
  • Follow program procedures, administrative tasks, direct therapy skills, and other duties that are in line with our compliance requirements.
  • Maintain reliable communication to record scheduled appointments and return phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Ensure that the company's "zero tolerance policy" is understood, implemented, and reinforced in the region.
  • Complete all duties, tasks, and/or special projects assigned by leaders and/or the business.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide make-up hours as an alternate care team member.
  • Maintain eligible transportation and current liability insurance (if applicable).
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months or of relevant experience working with individuals; may include internships, volunteer work, or employment in related fields such as education or childcare.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Successfully complete Live Scan background check, employment verification, and TB screening
  • Be able to lift up to 30lbs while assisting consumers
  • Must be able to run, bend, sit, stand for long periods at a time

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings as they relate to the patient's natural environment, which may include being outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (e.g., community skills, recess in a school setting, etc.)
