As the Security Operations Manager, you will oversee and execute routine to intermediate security functions to ensure adherence to contractual, programmatic, and security standards.

Your responsibilities will include participating in the administration and coordination of multiple security programs/activities, delivering security briefings, maintaining security training initiatives, and planning for new security projects, including proposal development.

Moreover, you will be expected to lead a team and collaborate with various government entities to ensure compliance with directives and regulations, obtaining necessary rulings, interpretations, and deviations as required.

In your role, you will also support information system life cycle activities, which encompass categorizing systems for new initiatives and preparing Risk Management Framework documentation, as well as reviewing ongoing maintenance, support, and upgrades of systems during program execution.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining the daily security posture and continuous monitoring of Information Systems (IS) for Department of Defense (DoD) programs, which includes reviewing and analyzing security event logs, conducting end-user account audits, and more.



Key Qualifications:
Perform or lead security requirements analysis, security control selection, and validation with minimal supervision.

Execute or guide the development of essential security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, and standard operating procedures in alignment with Information Assurance policies.

Conduct internal vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring all security features applied to a system are effectively implemented and operational.

Salary Range:
USD $87,040.00/Yr. - USD $94,180.00/Yr. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Actual compensation may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

What you bring to the table:

A Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Comprehensive knowledge of all security policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret security requirements and apply them consistently across diverse scenarios
Thorough understanding of all general functions and substantial knowledge of policies and procedures, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related directives
Experience in developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and all supporting Assessment and Authorization documentation
Familiarity with eMASS risk management and compliance automation tools
Experience with various system security assessment/hardening tools - SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus, etc.
Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and trends

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire. Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
