Job Summary:

This position performs skilled work in the installation and maintenance of water meters. The Water Meter Supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain water meters to ensure accurate measurement and efficient operation.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating meter components, to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair water meter issues, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with the Water Meter Supervisor to prioritize work assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in water meter installation and maintenance preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in water meter installation and maintenance, or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of water meter systems and components.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent lifting, bending, and climbing, as well as exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
