Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain competency to deliver patient care to a variety of patient populations.

  • Demonstrate understanding of Emergency Management principles and understanding of the hospital Emergency Operations Plan.
  • Provide leadership in the event of a crisis.
  • Promote safe, quality patient care, facilitating the escalation and investigation of patient, family, or associate events.
  • Respond to urgent or emergent patient care situations, demonstrating ability to rapidly assess and intervene to support the care team when necessary.
  • Utilize the Nurse Practice Act, Scope and Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics to role model professional nursing behaviors and practice.
  • Serve as a resource providing interpretation of nursing practice standards for all health care team members.
  • Seek growth opportunities to maintain clinical and leadership competence.
  • Promote mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
Requirements
  • BSN or completion of BSN within 4 years of hire.
  • Current RN license in state of practice or Compact license.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within 6-months of hire.
  • FEMA training ICS 100 and ICS 200, Emergency Notification System training, and EMR training within 12 months of hire.
  • Minimum 3 years current RN clinical experience which includes the management of critical, complex patients Leadership experience.
  • Preferred: MSN, Additional ICS courses 402, 300, 700/800, PALS certification, National certification in area of practice.
