Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and guidance on deficient documentation to prevent delays in patient care
  • Work with HME leadership to optimize operational efficiency and ensure seamless patient discharge
  • Communicate with referral sources to address delivery expectations and ensure timely patient care

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to educate and operate home medical equipment
  • 1 year of home medical equipment experience
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and regulatory requirements for HME
  • Prior experience working with healthcare, government, and accrediting agency guidelines
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and related HCPCS codes
