Private Duty Nurse

V-Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Private Duty Nurse to provide high-quality medical care to patients in their homes or private settings. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive compassionate and professional care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough health assessments and monitor patient condition, reporting changes to the RN or physician as needed.
- Administer medications (excluding IV in many states) and monitor patient responses, documenting any changes or concerns.
- Perform routine procedures such as catheter care, tube feedings, and dressing changes, as well as assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Collaborate with the RN or physician to develop and implement patient care plans, communicating patient needs and observations effectively.
- Provide basic nursing care and comfort to patients, educating them and their families on care needs under the guidance of an RN.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
- Previous experience in home healthcare, hospital nursing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude toward patients and families, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- CPR certification and other relevant certifications may be required.
- Work hours may vary depending on patient needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to potentially infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
- Physical demands may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Travel to patients' homes or other private locations required.
