About the Role

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for internal sales inquiries related to product, specifications, availability, scheduling, and substitutions. You will be responsible for resolving external customer and internal sales questions in a timely manner, using your expertise and resources to provide accurate and helpful responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central point of contact for Area hub and market DCs for all internal sales inquiries
  • Resolve external customer and internal sales questions in a timely manner
  • Become subject matter expert in US Foods systems and tools
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge and resources to answer questions regarding product availability, delivery schedule, broker contact, and product information
  • Prioritize requests based on urgency and customer status
  • Develop broker and vendor contacts along with using internal resource pool to independently address and follow up on sales inquiries
  • Develop product category knowledge to suggest substitute products when necessary
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent distribution or food service supply chain experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing, merchandising, sales, or customer service experience required
  • Previous US Foods experience preferred
  • PRISM skills preferred
