Veterinary Support Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Support Specialist to join our team at Prospect Park Animal Clinic. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet Clients: Warmly welcome clients and their pets as they enter the clinic, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Answer Phone Calls and Emails: Manage incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing client inquiries, appointment requests, and general information.
- Schedule Appointments: Efficiently schedule and reschedule appointments using practice management software (Avimark), while accurately inputting patient information.
- Check Clients In and Out: Streamline the check-in and check-out process, verifying appointments, processing payments, and addressing client concerns.
- Scan Medical Documents: Maintain organized digital records by scanning and cataloging important medical documents and records.
- Clean and Maintain Reception Area: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times, ensuring a positive client experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Avimark or similar veterinary practice management software is a plus.
- Must have 1 year of experience working in the veterinary field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
