About the Role:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) system and facilities building maintenance. This includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance, repairing and improving automation, MHE, building, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and improve automation, MHE, building, and infrastructure
  • Use a CMMS (work order) system
  • Effectively communicate verbally, written, and in email
  • Use strong interpersonal skills
  • Be safety-minded
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • Gather needed materials to complete repairs/work orders
  • Accurately track and store the department's inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
  • Support continuous improvement within all departments
  • Be flexible with work hours and days
  • Be able to drive powered industrial trucks, including people movers and forklifts
  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 10 years' experience working in maintenance supporting Material Handling Systems and Facilities Building Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trade School or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and lift
  • Ability to work at heights and unusual positions
  • Able to safely operate all hand tools
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet-jacks, and handcarts
  • Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment
