Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist - Recovery Center at the University of Kentucky. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our visitors and participants, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the front desk, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries.
  • Provide information about our services, programs, and events, and assist with registration and sign-in processes.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing the center's calendar, and preparing materials for meetings and events.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain confidentiality and uphold the privacy of members and their information.
  • Support members in connecting with appropriate services and programs, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations of the center.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals in recovery.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of the recovery community, and a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the center.
