The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing support to both clinical and non-clinical functions in our service area.
Key Responsibilities- Provides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Ensures accurate and timely communication of clinical and non-clinical information to facilitate the visit process.
- Maintains a clean and sterile environment, as well as ensures proper maintenance of supplies, equipment, and instruments.
- Supports clerical functions as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
- Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA) is required.
- One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field is preferred.
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions can be expected.
