Healthcare Support Specialist

The Healthcare Support Specialist is a vital member of our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters. This role provides support to our healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provides clinical and non-clinical support to healthcare professionals under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
• Maintains a clean and sterile environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assists with clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
• Supports the maintenance of supplies, equipment, and instruments.
Requirements
• Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA).
• One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred.
Working Conditions
• Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
