Direct Hire Technical Sales Support Specialist
This established company is a renowned leader in the design, production, and distribution of material handling solutions and associated technologies. We are seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist to deliver expert-level assistance and service to our clients requiring information and support for a diverse array of forklift attachment solutions. In this role, you will frequently engage with internal staff across various levels, as well as external dealers and end-users.
As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Addressing technical inquiries and providing assistance regarding our forklift attachments via phone.
- Supporting dealers with product-related troubleshooting inquiries.
- Identifying hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic issues and providing necessary solutions.
- Evaluating problems objectively and making informed decisions regarding products, quality, and customer relations. Prioritizing customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Contributing to team initiatives and offering technical insights as needed.
- Suggesting process enhancements to improve job efficiency and accuracy.
- Willingness to travel as required, both on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or field service within a technical environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with hydraulic or mechanical systems.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues over the phone while seeking additional information necessary for resolution.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- A solid understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, or electronic systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows and MS Office.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools.
- Capability to effectively address customer inquiries and concerns in face-to-face interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to actively engage and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to operate a lift truck is desirable if required.
