Job Title: Family Support Services Specialist

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to families and children in need.

Job Summary:

The Family Support Services Specialist will provide transportation, supervised visitation, and foster parent support, among other tasks, to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport client children to and from program placements, supervised visits, medical and dental appointments
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including the Transportation Request form and agency vehicle mileage
  • Perform placement follow-up contacts with assigned foster homes and provide support as needed
  • Participate in community outreach programs, including recruitment events and foster parent meetings
  • Attend and participate in staff trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in community service agencies preferred
  • Valid state driver's license and auto liability insurance required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing
