Surgical Care Specialist

About the Role
Hartford Healthcare is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery team at Backus Hospital. You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for planning and delivering care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including elective and emergency general surgery, trauma, colorectal, bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage surgical inpatients, admissions, and consultations
- Perform operative first-assist and bedside procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Physician Assistant training and certification
- At least 2 years of inpatient surgery experience as a Physician Assistant (preferred)
