Job Title: Critical Care Specialist

Description:

  • Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Specialist to join our Surgical Critical Care team at Backus Hospital.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in critical care and/or surgery, with a strong background in acute care and patient management.
  • As a Critical Care Specialist, you will be an essential part of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to other healthcare team members or specialists.
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of your practice, as designated by protocols, and identify problems outside of your scope of practice and refer appropriately to a physician.

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training
