Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Assembler to join our team at Adornus. As a Cabinet Assembler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently assembling cabinetry components, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of components to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Assemble cabinetry components, including backs, sides, and fronts, with precision and speed
  • Install doors, drawers, and hardware, including drawer slides, drawer boxes, and drawer fronts
  • Use measuring tape, glue guns, and small screw guns to attach parts
  • Packaging cabinets for shipping, ensuring they are secure and ready for delivery
  • Meet build time expectations, working efficiently and accurately to meet production goals
  • Stand for extended periods, with regular breaks, to maintain productivity and safety
  • Attend work regularly, arriving on time and meeting attendance expectations
Requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations, ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery and tools
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to find solutions to problems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work well with others
  • Physical stamina and strength, with ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated, with a results-driven approach to work
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus
  • Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics
  • Apprenticeship or specialization in cabinet making an asset
  • 2+ years machine operator experience in a cabinet making environment recommended
  • Safety and OSHA training required
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate to loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and talking or hearing. The employee frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms; and tastes or smells. The employee occasionally sits, climbs, or balances; and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Language Skills

The ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
