Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals.
Job SummaryThis position requires the ideal candidate to perform routine administrative tasks and radiologic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing problems. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating medical equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of radiologic testing.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Tasks: Perform daily warm-ups of digital x-ray equipment, erase digital cassettes, and maintain supply inventory by anticipating and ordering needed supplies.
- Radiologic Procedures: Maneuver, prepare, and instruct patients for imaging procedures, operate radiologic equipment, and ensure proper radiation protection.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document radiologic testing, generate radiology consultation requisitions, and distribute digital radiographs and interpretative reports to ordering providers.
- Education: Associate of Science degree (AAS) from an accredited institution.
- Certifications and Licenses: Certified as a radiology technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current Arizona State License as a Radiology Technologist, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- Languages: Ability to accurately comprehend and compose instructions, correspondence, and communications in English in both oral and written format.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to occasionally exert enough force to move objects weighing up to 30 pounds, continuously remain in a stationary position, and constantly move about inside the workplace to assist patients, operate office or medical equipment, etc.
$43,000 - $63,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
