Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to join our team at the Primrose School of Spring Cypress. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Leadership: You will be responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Developmental Assessments: You will assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis, implementing the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: You will plan and participate in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with a member of the Leadership Team.
  • Classroom Environment: You will maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Behavioral Expectations: You will provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping: You will accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.
  • Professional Development: You will attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions, maintaining overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Spring Cypress Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: You must meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency, with a preference for previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program.
  • Skills and Qualifications: You must have knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children, be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children, and possess a 2-year degree in early childhood or a related field (or higher degree as required by the school).
