  • Oversee the bank's strategic planning initiatives, including the creation and upkeep of policies and procedures to steer the execution and continuous assessment of the plans.
  • Design and manage the rollout of the bank's strategic plan in collaboration with the board, senior leadership, and departmental heads.
  • Track and assess the advancement of strategic projects, providing regular updates on results, key performance metrics, and risk indicators against set targets and limits to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage with various business units within the bank to identify and evaluate risks that may affect the institution.
  • Assist in crafting business cases for new projects and investments.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and internal capabilities to uncover strategic opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Financial Planning and Analysis, Capital Planning & Stress Testing, and other finance functions to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and stress testing activities.
  • Manage talent-related functions, including recruitment, performance assessments, staff development and training, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in special projects and undertake additional duties as necessary.
  • Adhere consistently to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the role and complete all required compliance training. Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in strategic and financial planning within the Financial Services sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) in Finance or Accounting.
