Position Overview:

The Predictive Analytics Specialist will engage in a hybrid work model, contributing to the success of Elevance Health by leveraging advanced analytical techniques to enhance member experiences and solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute predictive modeling initiatives aimed at addressing specific business challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Analyze diverse data sets, encompassing both structured and unstructured data, to derive actionable insights.
  • Manage and process extensive data streams within distributed computing frameworks to support thorough analysis.
  • Implement both batch and real-time model scoring to inform strategic actions.
  • Create proprietary algorithms that provide tailored solutions, surpassing conventional industry methodologies.
  • Design advanced visualizations of analytical outputs for business stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality control and evaluation of all outputs to meet established performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous enhancement of existing predictive modeling algorithms.
  • Collaborate proactively with business partners to define target population segments and formulate actionable strategies to uncover patterns related to quality, usage, costs, and other variables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience in predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SAS.
  • Experience with distributed computing environments, including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, or Apache Spark.
  • Expertise in data extraction and manipulation using SQL.
  • Ability to connect visualization tools like Tableau or Shiny to Hadoop backends, along with familiarity with JavaScript visualization libraries.

Educational Alternatives:

Elevance Health will consider candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant field and one (1) year of experience in predictive analytics, or a Doctoral degree in a related discipline with any level of experience in predictive analytics.
