Job Title: West Per Diem Educational Consultant (6-12 ELA)

This onsite representative will play a pivotal role in initiating lasting change in districts and schools by delivering core content, intervention, and supplemental professional development, Change of Practice, and Job-embedded services. As an individual and group support provider, this consultant will help district personnel and school faculty incorporate effective strategies into classroom practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing classroom components and resources in the program, including applying the philosophy, pedagogy, and basic organization.
  • Differentiating instruction based on student need and effectively managing a Savvas curriculum classroom, technology integration, and devices.
  • Utilizing data and reporting tools to impact instruction and decision making, modeling coaching conversations that support admin with providing effective teacher feedback.
  • Coaching teachers to apply the philosophy, pedagogy, and basic organization of the program, differentiating instruction based on teacher/student need.
  • Observing classroom practices and providing critical feedback to guide implementation progress of the key instructional features of the program.
  • Data-Based Decision Making using two dashboards within the product (Performance and Assignment), differentiating instruction based on student need.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.A. preferred.
  • Experience offering workshops/coaching to teachers and experience with classroom-based technology integration.
  • Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher and at least five years of successful experience as a 6-12 professional in the ELA content area.
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills, knowledge of standards-based reform, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Ability to plan strategically with and coach school leaders and classroom teachers, provide instructional support relating to effective teaching strategies for teachers across content areas using instructional technology.

Compensation Package: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. Travel requirements include up to 70% domestic and international travel.
