Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen production and food preparation, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production and Service: Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Direct the preparation and service accuracy for all forecasted menu items, including recipes, proper food handling, food safety, food quality, and dietary restrictions.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Culinary Operations: Oversee the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years full-service experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of a certified culinary program or college preferred.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.
  • Availability: Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
