Position Overview

This position involves the installation and testing of electrical components for B+S packaging machinery (filling, closing) and control cabinets. The role is primarily in-house, with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute electrical wiring and installation on pharmaceutical packaging machinery and control cabinets.
  • Conduct and document hardware testing.
  • Perform electrical safety testing in accordance with UL standards.
  • Generate electrical documentation.

  • Exhibits determination, foresight, and strong analytical skills that facilitate troubleshooting, overcoming challenges, and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
FLSA Status:

Non-exempt position - Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime compensation at 1.5 times the calculated hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 in a week.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings, diagrams, and machine specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to assess quality or performance.
  • Solid understanding of cGMP requirements, change control, and gown qualifications.
  • Good health and physical capability to enter aseptic clean rooms.
  • Willingness to travel to North American client sites, with background checks, drug, alcohol, and safety testing as per individual client requirements.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • Completion of training or an apprenticeship as a mechatronics or electromechanical technician, electronics technician for automation technology, control cabinet builder, electrical installer, or equivalent knowledge and skills, or an Associate's degree in a technology field, such as electrical or electronics.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in control cabinet construction and plant installation is desirable.
