This role is for a full-time Rehabilitation Specialist, with opportunities available for part-time and PRN candidates.

Located in a supportive environment, our facility offers comprehensive rehabilitation services for orthopedic and neurological conditions, alongside long-term skilled nursing care. Compensation ranges from $38 to $60 per hour, depending on experience.

The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents based on physician orders, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at restoring muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, alleviating pain, and enhancing movement and functionality. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, providing essential support and insights within the realm of rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess available resident information and determine its relevance to the evaluation and treatment process.

2. Conduct and document a comprehensive functional assessment of residents, employing standardized procedures and evaluating home/vocational and equipment needs.

3. Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to resident needs, incorporating achievable functional goals.

4. Adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation protocols while maintaining accurate and timely departmental records.

5. Guide Assistants in treatment methodologies and provide close supervision during resident interactions.

6. Record progress notes in resident files following each treatment session.

7. Modify treatment plans as necessary throughout the rehabilitation process.

8. Document treatment outcomes in a clear and concise discharge summary using the prescribed format.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.

2. Current licensure in the state of practice.

3. Preferred experience in a setting catering to a similar demographic as served by this facility.

4. Relevant certifications and demonstrated expertise in specialized areas, if applicable.

5. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

6. Proven competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment utilized in physical therapy.
