Flyspace Productions is a premier, woman-owned event management and production firm dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences. We are known for orchestrating some of the most significant festivals and live events in the area, alongside a variety of private, corporate, and community gatherings. Our comprehensive in-house Production Department is equipped with state-of-the-art technical gear, including concert audio, lighting, truss, and rigging, as well as the largest fleet of Stageline Mobile Stages on the East Coast.

Role Summary

The Audio Systems Specialist is an integral part of our Production Team. This role demands a profound understanding of audio system installation in temporary, often outdoor settings, as well as in indoor concert venues. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience working with national-level artists and at corporate events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Over 5 years of experience in live event audio production, particularly in concert audio.
  • Strong grasp of the artistic process, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, including artists, performers, and designers, in a professional manner.
  • Expertise in the following systems:
    • Dante Level 2
    • Waves SoundGrid
    • Line Array System Deployment Software
    • Shure Wireless Workbench
    • AVID, Digico, and Yamaha digital mixing consoles
  • Capability to lead teams of stagehands with varying levels of experience.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in theater, events, concerts, or similar production environments.
  • Familiarity with best practices for packing technical equipment into transport vehicles.
  • Knowledge of various types of production cabling and best practices for cable management.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and elevated noise levels.
  • Involvement with electrical components.
  • Requirement to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Travel to various work sites as necessary.
  • Ability to read, see, hear, and communicate effectively.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, crawl, and navigate stairs.
