About the Role

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide design and technical expertise for various projects in Silverdale, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute electrical engineering designs and production support from project inception through construction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute projects using Design-Bid-Build and Design Build delivery methods.
  • Review and ensure code compliance and constructability of electrical engineering designs.
  • Estimate design efforts and provide technical expertise in negotiations with Architectural-Engineering firms and general contractors.
  • Address contractor submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in design and technical competence in developing and producing working drawings and specifications for new and renovation projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience in Design and Contract Document preparation for new and existing buildings similar to those prevalent in the NAVFAC Northwest Area of Responsibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of ICC codes, NFPA 70 (NEC), NESC, and DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
  • Demonstrated experience with interdisciplinary coordination required for Contract Document preparation.
  • Experience conducting field observation to verify/obtain existing conditions of electrical site work and facility systems and incorporating these conditions into the design for a renovation/rehabilitation project.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of current AutoCAD and other design and general office software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specifications development and coordination, using Government-based specification software.
