- Oversee patient care coordination and provider interactions.
- Manage the efficiency of patient encounters and follow-up processes.
- Act as a point of escalation for junior clinical staff.
- Process e-prescription requests from pharmacies in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the submission of patient medications to pharmacies as directed by healthcare providers.
- Engage with insurance companies to secure prior authorizations for prescribed medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers through the electronic medical record system to monitor patient activities.
- Address patient inquiries related to general health concerns.
- Gather essential personal and clinical information from patients.
- Document all telephone interactions accurately.
- Communicate test results to patients promptly and confidentially, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program with current certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical environment with EMR proficiency.
- Ability to efficiently manage a high volume of outgoing calls.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
