Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Reliability/Principal Reliability Engineer Level 2/3 to join our Facilities and Maintenance team at the Iuka facility.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Reliability Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Specializing in various automated mechanical and electrical components.

2. Conducting thorough reviews of existing equipment and gaining comprehensive knowledge of the OEM's manufacturing protocols related to machine functionality.


3. Ensuring that effective preventative maintenance procedures are established for mechanical and electrical systems, and recommending necessary spare parts to maintain continuous plant operations.


4. Developing and executing a machine monitoring strategy to support reliability-centered maintenance, predicting machine failures through vibration, temperature, and other variable analyses.


5. Ensuring optimal performance levels of all equipment while maintaining high uptime rates.

This role allows for significant autonomy in decision-making and independent action.

6. Supporting current facility operations and facilitating growth in operational capabilities and production levels.

7. Preparing detailed presentations and reports on Operational Equipment Effectiveness for all assigned machines.

8. Assisting in the formulation of standard specifications for future equipment acquisitions.

This position may be filled at either a Level 2 Reliability Engineer or a Principal Reliability Engineer Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:


1. Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience in fields such as Reliability, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Controls, or a Master's degree with no experience in the mentioned fields.

2. Familiarity with PLCs (programmable logic controllers), controls, servo, or similar systems.

3. Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.

4. Experience negotiating and consulting with vendors for mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.

5. Ability to obtain a Secret US Clearance.

6. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

1. Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in fields such as Reliability, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Controls, or a Master's degree with no experience in the mentioned fields.

3. Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.

4. Experience negotiating and consulting with vendors for mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.

5. Ability to obtain a Secret US Clearance.

6. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in Reliability Engineering.

2. Position may require a Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or Statistics with 2 years of experience.

3. Familiarity with Industrial IoT technology/FMMS.

4. Experience with CNC equipment and control systems including Allen Bradley, FANUC, and Siemens, Heidenhain.

5. Experience in the installation and commissioning of industrial equipment.

6. Experience in reliability engineering.

Salary Range:
$64,900 - $97,300

Salary Range 2:
$79,800 - $119,700


The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may qualify for Long Term Incentives.
