Position Overview:

As a Lead Site Reliability Specialist at Cribl, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance service delivery and reliability throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Continuously measure and monitor production systems, focusing on availability, latency, and overall system performance.
  • Investigate the root causes of errors and instability in our cloud services, driving teams towards improved operational practices.
  • Work closely with product and platform teams to advocate for enhancements that bolster reliability, resilience, and observability.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through innovative solutions and automation.
  • Participate in on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience in enterprise-scale continuous delivery environments.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in development within Linux/Mac environments.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools such as Terraform (preferred), Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • A solid understanding of sustainable incident response practices in a blameless culture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability tools like New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana/Kibana, and Sentry.
  • A background in Linux Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with incident response tools such as PagerDuty, Fire Hydrant, or Blameless.
  • A comfort level with autonomy and collaboration in a distributed team environment.
