Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and highly efficient Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance our development and support initiatives. The focus will be on maintaining and upgrading our statewide systems, integrating the latest technologies to streamline processes and improve system interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, configure, and manage both public and private cloud infrastructures.
  2. Oversee cloud computing, build and release processes, DevOps practices, and Linux administration.
  3. Utilize GIT for synchronization with the chef-repo, managing it as source code.
  4. Provide expert insights on system architectures and supervise the development of DevOps workflows.
  5. Implement and manage Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk.
  6. Train end users on software applications and enhancements.
  7. Offer recommendations for system and process improvements.
  8. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps.
  2. 4 years of experience with GIT and source code management.
  3. 3 years of experience in analyzing system specifications and translating requirements into technical strategies.
  4. 3 years of experience in training users and providing system recommendations.
  5. Experience with version control tools and project migration.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  2. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  3. Experience with SCRUM methodologies and Jira Software.
  4. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Experience in transitioning outdated technologies to modern solutions.
