Overview of Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for instructing three classes focused on business education for middle school students.

The ideal applicant will be expected to:

  • Design, organize, and implement educational activities tailored to meet the diverse learning requirements of students, adhering to state standards and district curriculum.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of educational theories and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Act in the best interests of students, exemplifying professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops daily lesson plans for secondary students, showcasing expertise in the subject matter while following state educational standards.
  • Utilizes current data from the school and district to inform instructional planning.
  • Creates both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress continuously, adjusting teaching strategies to accommodate individual and group needs.
  • Maintains a conducive learning environment through proactive classroom management and organization.
  • Records and monitors student performance and attendance, effectively communicating this information to students and their families.
  • Selects and utilizes a variety of instructional resources to enhance learning and cater to the needs of all students.
  • Collaborates with other educational staff (such as special education and gifted education personnel) to support student learning.
  • Stays informed about current educational trends and best practices relevant to classroom instruction.
  • Exhibits professionalism when engaging with students, parents, community members, and colleagues.
  • Incorporates technology effectively to enhance instruction and support student learning.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching license in the relevant curriculum area are required.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree, relevant coursework, and passing Praxis test scores will also be considered.
Additional Information

This position is part-time.

Compensation:
  • Minimum Hourly Rate: $31.83 (BA Degree)
  • $33.36 (MA Degree)
