Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and gather data, including traffic counts.
- Analyze and summarize accident reports.
- Generate traffic and accident analyses, memos, and engineering reports in compliance with industry standards.
- Perform traffic capacity assessments and simulations.
- Execute traffic operation analyses for a range of projects, from small intersections to complex urban networks.
- Prepare signal warrant studies and timing analyses.
- Assist in developing traffic signal plans, control plans, and pavement marking plans.
- Support the creation of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, consultants, and clients.
- Represent Drive Engineering at industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Traffic Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Engineer-In-Training or Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification is a plus.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to learn and utilize traffic engineering software and tools.
- Familiarity with industry publications and guidelines.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
