Job Summary:

The Triangle Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance/Accounting and Back Operations Departments. As a key member of the Executive team, the CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring financial stability, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Financial Strategy: The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy and direction of the credit union, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Manage Financial Performance: The CFO will manage the financial performance of the credit union, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Lead Finance and Operations Teams: The CFO will lead the Finance/Accounting and Back Operations Departments, ensuring effective management and coordination of financial and operational activities.
  • Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: The CFO will develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide Financial Analysis and Recommendations: The CFO will provide financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and Executive team to inform business decisions.
  • Manage Asset/Liability Position: The CFO will manage the credit union's asset/liability position, liquidity, and investment portfolio, ensuring effective management of risk and return.
  • Develop and Implement Financial Systems: The CFO will develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Lead Leadership Team: The CFO will provide leadership and guidance to the leadership team, ensuring effective management and development of staff.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 Years of Experience: The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a management-level finance or accounting position, with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Asset Liability Management Experience: The candidate will have experience with Asset Liability Management monitoring and reporting.
  • US GAAP Financial Reporting Experience: The candidate will have strong US GAAP financial reporting experience.
  • Financial Institution Knowledge: The candidate will have a strong understanding of financial institution product and service offerings.
  • Credit Union Industry Knowledge: The candidate will have thorough knowledge of the Credit Union Industry and related rules and regulations.
  • Education and Certification: The candidate will have a master's degree, or a bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g., CPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher Education in Accounting and Finance: The candidate will have higher education in accounting and finance.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Proficiency: The candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Industry-Specific Software Familiarity: The candidate will be familiar with industry-specific software.
Work Environment:
