Position Overview:

A Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that guest accommodations are kept clean, organized, and welcoming. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms, public areas, and hallways in accordance with established hotel standards. Responsibilities include stocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing guest amenities while adhering to safety and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a friendly and service-oriented demeanor in all interactions with guests and team members.
  • Ensure consistent attendance in line with company standards, adapting to the hotel’s scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
  • Follow all company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May require disassembling furniture or items in guest rooms for deep cleaning purposes.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may involve changing air conditioning filters, cleaning coils, touching up paint, and addressing any maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
  • Quick and accurate decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
