Janitorial Specialist II

Amentum is seeking a skilled Janitorial Specialist II to join our team in a high-visibility environment. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning services and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

• Perform high/low dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, spot cleaning, and trash removal to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Wash windows, walls, and restroom facilities to ensure a high level of cleanliness and presentation.
• Replenish supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient cleaning operation.
• Operate floor cleaning, waxing, and polishing equipment, as well as various wet/dry vacuum cleaner models, to maintain a clean and safe floor surface.
• Inspect all equipment for proper operation and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Sweep, mop, and/or scrub hallways and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Observe, identify, and report any potential safety hazards to the supervisor for resolution.
• Assist in the movement and relocation of furniture and equipment as needed to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Respond to customer questions and complaints to ensure positive resolution and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Recommend and implement improved work methods and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are enforced to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

• One year of custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work inside and outside in diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during a shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to stretch and reach on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during a shift.
• Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

• Janitorial experience in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• Experience with modern cleaning methods, materials, disinfectants, chemicals, etc.
• Experience operating floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
