Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team at Ascension Providence. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts. Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
  • Patient Care Planning: Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population-appropriate patient care is given.
  • Quality Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Complaint Resolution: Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
  • Staff Development: May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Education and Experience: Licensed Clinical Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required. Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
