Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect to lead our infrastructure improvements and upgrade efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server operating systems, network infrastructure, and cloud environments. This role will involve specifying, designing, implementing, maintaining, documenting, and evolving our Information Technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead infrastructure improvements and upgrade efforts
* Perform capacity planning and explore new technologies
* Participate in architecting solutions to increase availability, reliability, and enterprise security
* Specify, design, implement, maintain, document, and evolve the Information Technology infrastructure
* Manage infrastructure projects and take initiative to solve problems with maximum independence

Requirements

* At least five years' experience working in a multiplatform operating system environment
* In-depth understanding of server operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
* Demonstrated superb verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work onsite as needed per project/work requirements
* Be available for video calls by peers, management, and participation in scheduled meetings
* Work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience in a higher education environment
* At least three years' experience with Microsoft system administration
* At least three years' experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects
* At least three years' experience with LAN/WAN administration
* Knowledge of programming/scripting languages
* Detailed understanding of data recovery, replication, and backup strategies
