Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

* Responding to maintenance work orders and requests from departments and handling them based on priority of issue(s).
* Sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Maintenance Engineer Associates.
* Performing all preventative maintenance on equipment scheduled in guestrooms, public spaces, and all mechanical and related equipment as appropriate.
* Managing the guestroom PM program per company SOP.
* Conducting departmental training on equipment to cover specific points in the daily operations of the department.
* Reporting status of equipment to the General Manager and Area Director of Engineering (as applicable), tracking through service sheets or verbal communications to ensure proper functions and safety.
* Being proactive in monitoring the general condition of the building and surroundings at all times, walking the property.
* Ensuring the company culture is understood and fully embraced.
* Responsible for the weekly scheduling of associates for Engineering.
* Assisting the General Manager in the budgeting, forecasting, and planning for the department.
* Interacting with all associates in the department providing ongoing and feedback and performance evaluations.
* Managing operating expenses to minimize costs while providing an excellent guest product and service levels.
* Interacting with vendors and service companies as may be required on engineering projects.

**Experience:**

5+ years of experience in hotel engineering or a related field

**Education:**

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in engineering or a related field preferred

**Certifications:**

OSHA certification and any other relevant certifications

**Work Environment:**

Hotel environment with frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical systems

**Physical Requirements:**

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
