UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies are seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys and gathering data for the preparation of site plans, maps, and other documents.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct field surveys and gather data for the preparation of site plans, maps, and other documents.
- Determine the precise location of property boundaries, land features, and elevations.
- Measure distances, angles, and elevations using specialized equipment such as GPS, theodolites, and total stations.
- Record survey results accurately, including physical characteristics of the land, property lines, and topographical data.
- Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports and drawings to support engineering, construction, or land development projects.
- Associate's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
- Or 3 years of related experience.
- Technical proficiency in GPS, traditional, and leveling surveying equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate rough or uneven terrain.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in the field to ensure accurate data collection.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the survey team and report findings.
