Job Title: Director of Continuing Education

Job Summary:

The Director of Continuing Education is a key leadership position responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for continuing education programs at My Possibilities. This role requires a strong passion for education and a commitment to creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for continuing education programs, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of program managers and staff to deliver high-quality educational programming, ensuring alignment with state licensing, government contracts, and grants requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager and Chief Program Officer to ensure the implementation of high-quality educational programming.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure the success of continuing education programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, vendors, and government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in continuing education, applying this knowledge to inform program development and improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of leadership experience in a nonprofit or other environment serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and overseeing program implementation.
  • Passion for My Possibilities' mission and purpose, with the ability to communicate this passion to others.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team, including professional development and mentorship.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, budgeting, and administrative operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization externally across a wide range of stakeholders and constituencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience implementing these principles in program areas and creating an inclusive work environment.

Working Conditions:

This role requires a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Director of Continuing Education will work primarily indoors, with occasional travel to community events and meetings. The position requires a high level of organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
