Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning and technique selection.
  • Administer contrast media and apply immobilization and radiation protection devices as needed.
  • Develop film according to approved techniques and maintain levels in processor and replenishment tanks.
  • Conduct visual preventative safety inspections and complete tube warm-up procedures for assigned radiographic rooms and equipment.
  • Report any dangerous conditions and maintain necessary inventory supplies for assigned rooms.
  • Pleasantly greet patients, introduce yourself, and confirm patient identity.
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and their families, as needed.
  • Transport patients and mobile x-ray equipment to various areas, as required.
  • Work rotating shifts and call, adhering to department scheduling guidelines.
  • Perform office procedures accurately in the absence of clerical personnel.
  • Update patient exams in history files and maintain accurate, legible documentation.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Licensure and certification in Radiography (RRT) and Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
