Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing aircraft components in support of our FAA Repair Station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test aircraft components using automated assembly equipment and hand soldering techniques.
  • Perform manual assembly, disassembly, analysis, repair, and rework of aircraft components.
  • Operate automated test equipment and inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Set up and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
  • Recognize and address problems in the assembly process or with assembly components.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and team members.
Requirements
  • Four to five years of relevant experience in electronics assembly and testing.
  • High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Specific certifications as defined by site operations.
  • Knowledge of board assembly process, product process flow, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead the team to high-quality production within tight deadlines.
Working Conditions

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.

Duties of this position require periodic light physical effort and exertion, including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination.

Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort, including lifting objects over 50 pounds.

Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
