Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembly Operator to join our team at Leonardo Electronics US Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the assembly of high-power laser diode devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform LIV testing on various laser diode assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Operate burn-in towers, temperature cycle chambers, and other test equipment to verify device performance.
  • Use a Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) to inspect and measure device components.
  • Conduct visual inspections using low-powered microscopes to detect any defects or issues.
  • Work with small hand tools, such as tweezers, vacuum wands, torque, and hex drivers, to assemble and test devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues to improve yield and ensure high-quality production.
  • Notify the area Supervisor/Lead of any yield issues or concerns.
  • Assist in updating documentation to ensure all production processes are properly documented and controlled.
  • Accurately enter data into manufacturing interfaces and Excel spreadsheets to track production progress.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to detail and mechanical dexterity essential.
  • One year of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and PowerPoint desirable.
  • Ability to work independently under direct supervision.
  • Ability to work in a 10,000 class clean room environment wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) for the entire production shift.
