Job Summary

Leonardo Electronics US Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the assembly of high-power laser diode devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform LIV testing on various laser diode assemblies.
  • Operate burn-in towers, temperature cycle chambers, and other test equipment.
  • Utilize a Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Conduct inspections using low-powered microscopes.
  • Work with small hand tools, including tweezers, vacuum wands, torque, and hex drivers.
  • Troubleshoot issues to improve yield and notify the area Supervisor/Lead of any yield issues.
  • Assist in updating documentation to ensure every production process is controlled and documented.
  • Accurately enter data into manufacturing interfaces and Excel spreadsheets.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to detail and mechanical dexterity essential.
  • One year of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and PowerPoint desirable.
  • Ability to work independently under direct supervision.
  • Ability to work in a 10,000 class clean room environment wearing a bunny suit, face mask, head mask, and gloves for the entire production shift.
