Role Summary:

We are looking for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Center for Family Health. The PSR embodies our commitment to providing quality, compassionate healthcare by offering prompt and courteous assistance to patients visiting our health center or reaching out via phone. This role is crucial as the PSR is often the first point of contact for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Welcome patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
    • Deliver an exceptional patient experience, addressing concerns and complaints with care.
    • Ensure all necessary forms are completed and patient charts are organized for new patients.
    • Update and verify information for returning patients.
    • Handle incoming calls with courtesy, retrieve messages, and direct them appropriately.
    • Schedule appointments for patients efficiently.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare encounter forms for patient charts.
    • Confirm patient eligibility for insurance and sliding scale fees.
    • Collect co-payments as required.
    • Manage appointment schedules for healthcare providers using computer systems.
    • Input and maintain patient data accurately.
    • Ensure confidentiality and security of patient medical records.
    • Assist with billing functions, including posting charges and coordinating with the Billing Manager.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Participate in organizational meetings and training sessions.
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
