Job Summary

This RN Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic marketing and outreach expertise to promote the Nicklaus Children's Health System's LifeFlight transport program. The position evaluates the healthcare market and regional transport needs, monitors and trends transfer and transport data, and develops and implements outreach strategies to capture additional volume. The RN Outreach Coordinator provides leadership and support to all aspects of medical communications related to efforts within NCH's LifeFlight program and NCH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate monthly transfers/transport statistics to identify trends and take actions accordingly.
  • Work with program leadership to define and build outreach reports/dashboard to measure/track outreach activity effectiveness and contribution to the organizational strategic plan.
  • Partner closely with NCH professionals in provider relations, trauma, ECLS, transfer center, critical care, patient navigation, institute leadership, etc. to ensure a unified and collaborative delivery of content and representation with outside hospitals/agencies.
  • Support complex coordination of patient transports to/from referral sites as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain records of activities, track spending on necessary items within approved budgetary guidelines, compile data, and prepare reports.
  • Provide education, information, and trainings to appropriate individuals regarding programs and services, neonatal/pediatric transport to/from referral sites as needed.
  • Identify progressive ideas through researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; track their accomplishments and stay abreast on how these could impact the NCH's LifeFlight program and NCH organization.
  • Ensure effective planning and organization of community outreach efforts to promote the brand/image awareness of Nicklaus Children's Health System's LifeFlight program in the service region.
  • Provide education to NCH referral centers and outlying facilities in accordance with their needs.
  • Identify and produce educational materials including to support public relations, and communications with NCH customers that meets the needs for neonatal and pediatric services with possible transport opportunities.
  • Develop, facilitate, instruct, and deliver education to outside facilities. Solicit critical care transport staff to assist with outreach education opportunities. Provide necessary communication and/or follow-up with facilities after educational programs.
  • Define, develop, and ensure optimal working relationships with the community physicians, members, medical staff members of the health system, and referring physicians.

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Must maintain an active and in good standing licensure for the following:
  • RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
  • American Heart Association BLS Instructor Provider
  • American Heart Association PALS Instructor Provider
  • American Heart Association ACLS Instructor Provider
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor Provider
  • Air Medical Crew Core Curriculum (AMCCC)
  • Active and valid State of Florida driver's license with an approved driving record pursuant to our policy and maintained throughout employment
  • 3-5 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services and Critical Care Transport operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in business, nursing, healthcare, marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Experience in healthcare marketing, community outreach, or public relations
  • Experience in developing and implementing business plans and market strategies
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate individuals and projects in a responsible manner
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Demonstrate ability to work with diverse range of groups, professionals, agencies and community members
  • Strong written, verbal and lecture communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to provide education, information, and trainings to appropriate individuals regarding NCH programs and services
  • Able to collaborate with NCH program leaders to develop strategies that promote the brand, image, and awareness of NCH services
  • Proficient in the use of software programs such as MS Word, Outlook, scheduling software, and data spreadsheets
  • Proficient in developing electronic presentations and using A/V equipment and virtual platforms
  • Ability to work effectively as a liaison with community-based organizations and the business community
