Job Description

The Spent Fuel Handling Project (SFHP) is a major initiative focused on replacing the current Expanded Core Facility (ECF) where Naval nuclear fuel is processed, examined, and prepared for long-term storage. The new facility is designed to operate for 50+ years and requires a team of engineers and subcontract technical representatives to ensure standards and quality are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document reviews and technical change requests
  • Assisting in writing technical change requests and following the work
  • Working alternate shifts to support critical evolutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a science-related field
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant experience
  • Or currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified
  • Or qualified SIT and 3 years as EOOW in the Nuclear Operations Program
  • Or currently or previously CRE qualified
  • Or 6 years as SRE
  • Or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience
  • Or Master's degree in construction, engineering, or a science-related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience
Preferred Skills
  • Mechanical engineering degree
  • Experience working on or with HAVC systems or other large commercial buildings infrastructure

Pay Range

$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
