Job Title: Bioinformatics Research Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a Bioinformatics Research Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale biological data. You will work closely with our team of researchers to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale biological data
* Collaborate with researchers to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
* Work with our team to develop and maintain databases and software tools for data analysis
* Communicate research findings through publications and presentations

Requirements:

* Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
* Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or C++
* Experience with data analysis and machine learning algorithms
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
