The Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center is seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and computational analysis, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

As a Bioinformatics Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing computational pipelines, analyzing large-scale sequencing data, and collaborating with researchers to design and interpret studies. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of new methodologies.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or C/C++. Experience with high-performance computing and open-source software tools is also highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement computational pipelines for data analysis
  • Analyze large-scale sequencing data, including single-cell and spatial transcriptomics
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and interpret studies
  • Develop and maintain open-source software tools for data analysis
  • Contribute to the development of new methodologies and technologies

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics)
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or C/C++
